Product Overview
Moviclav-625 Tablets is a combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, a powerful broad-spectrum antibiotic formulation used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria and preventing them from developing resistance.
This formulation is particularly effective against infections caused by β-lactamase–producing bacteria, which are resistant to ordinary penicillin antibiotics.
Mechanism of Action
- Amoxycillin: A semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death.
- Clavulanic Acid: A β-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacterial enzymes from inactivating amoxycillin, thereby extending its antibacterial spectrum.
Together, they form a synergistic combination that effectively treats infections resistant to amoxycillin alone.
